Before Contacting Support

To help us resolve your issue quickly, please try these steps first and gather the following information:

2. Check Import History

Visit the Import History page to view recent imports and their status.

3. Try Reconnecting

Many issues are resolved by disconnecting and reconnecting to QuickBooks Online.

4. Use Validate Only Mode

Check the "Validate Only" option before importing to identify potential issues without making changes.

Information to Include in Your Support Request

Including this information helps us diagnose your issue faster:

  • Correlation ID - Shown after each import attempt (e.g., ABC123DEF456)
  • Error Message - The exact error message you received
  • Import Type - What you were importing (accounts, customers, items, transactions)
  • Steps to Reproduce - What you did before the error occurred
  • Screenshot - If possible, a screenshot of the error
  • Sample File - A sample IIF file that demonstrates the issue (remove sensitive data first)

Common Quick Fixes

Connection Expired

Click "Disconnect" in the top right, then "Connect to QuickBooks" to refresh your session.

Special Characters

Remove or replace apostrophes ('), quotes ("), and ampersands (&) from names in your IIF file.

Duplicate Records

QBO Link will update existing records with the same name instead of creating duplicates.

Rate Limits

If importing fails after many records, wait 2-3 minutes and try again with a smaller batch.
