MLD Logic, Inc. ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the QBO Link application ("Service").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

When you use QBO Link, you may provide us with:

  • IIF File Data: Financial data contained in IIF files you upload for import, including customer information, account details, product/service listings, and transaction records
  • QuickBooks Authorization: OAuth tokens that allow us to access your QuickBooks Online account on your behalf

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you access our Service, we automatically collect:

  • Log Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, access times, and pages viewed
  • Usage Data: Information about how you use the Service, including import operations performed and error logs
  • Device Information: Information about the device you use to access the Service

1.3 Information from Third Parties

When you connect your QuickBooks Online account, we receive:

  • Your QuickBooks Online company name and ID (Realm ID)
  • OAuth access and refresh tokens
  • Basic profile information associated with your QuickBooks account

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

3. Data Retention

3.1 Session Data

IIF file data you upload is stored temporarily in your browser session and is automatically deleted when:

  • Your session expires (typically after 20 minutes of inactivity)
  • You close your browser
  • You upload a new file
  • You complete or cancel the import process

3.2 OAuth Tokens

QuickBooks OAuth tokens are stored in your browser session only. We do not persistently store your QuickBooks credentials. You must reconnect to QuickBooks Online each new session.

3.3 Log Files

Import operation logs are retained for up to 90 days to support troubleshooting and service improvement. These logs contain:

  • Timestamps and operation types
  • Success/failure status
  • Error messages (without sensitive financial data)
  • Record counts

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

4.1 With QuickBooks Online

When you authorize an import, we transmit your data to QuickBooks Online via Intuit's official API. This data transfer is governed by Intuit's privacy policy.

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

4.3 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • OAuth 2.0: We use industry-standard OAuth 2.0 for QuickBooks authentication - we never see or store your QuickBooks password
  • Session Security: Session data is isolated per user and automatically expires
  • Access Controls: Server access is restricted to authorized personnel only

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Access: You can view your import history through the Import History page
  • Deletion: Session data is automatically deleted; contact us to request deletion of log data
  • Revoke Access: You can disconnect QBO Link from your QuickBooks Online account at any time through QuickBooks Online's "Manage Apps" settings
  • Opt-Out: You may stop using the Service at any time

7. Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with:

  • Intuit QuickBooks Online: Subject to Intuit's Privacy Policy
  • Paddle.com Market Limited: Our payment processor and Merchant of Record. Paddle processes all subscription payments, handles billing data, and manages payment card information on our behalf. QBO Link never receives, processes, or stores your payment card numbers. Paddle's data handling is subject to Paddle's Privacy Policy. Paddle acts as a data sub-processor for payment-related personal data.
  • Bootstrap CDN: For user interface components

These third parties have their own privacy policies governing their collection and use of information.

8. Cookies and Authentication

QBO Link uses the following cookies:

  • .QBOLinkAuth: An authentication cookie that maintains your login session. This cookie is HTTP-only (not accessible to JavaScript) and expires after 24 hours of inactivity or when you sign out. It contains an encrypted authentication ticket — not your password.
  • ASP.NET_SessionId: A session identifier cookie used to maintain your working session (uploaded file data, import state). This cookie is temporary and is deleted when you close your browser or your session expires.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

9. Payment Data

When you subscribe to QBO Link:

  • All payment processing is handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record
  • QBO Link never receives, processes, or stores your credit card number, debit card number, or bank account details
  • We store only: your name, email, company name, and subscription status
  • Paddle stores payment method details securely under PCI DSS compliance
  • Billing inquiries and payment disputes are handled through Paddle

10. Children's Privacy

QBO Link is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

11. International Data Transfers

Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to such transfer.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
